I was feeling down lately about my progress I always end up with two steps forward and three steps back but at the end of the day I need to remind myself how far I’ve come and to not give up just because it’s been a rough couple of months mentally.

Tagged by runnergirlwannabemama to post 6 photos that make me feel beautiful and amazing! Like her, I couldn’t choose just 6. 

While going through my photos, I found that first one. I don’t think I have ever posted it, but you know what? Even though I’m almost 100 pounds heavier in that photo, I still think I was beautiful. There were numerous things I wanted to change about my body back then, but I never once felt like I hated it. 

I used to be fat. I let myself gain more weight that I ever imagined, and then I finally started to change it. My lifestyle is completely different than it used to be, and I’m a different person. I am stronger, more confident, healthy, and happy. I needed this.

So I had this crazy idea today… to try on this old shirt… Or should I say dress… lol. and oh my! Sometimes I forget just how far I’ve come. And this was definitely a reminder. People ask me everyday how I did it. and especially how I kept going… even on the bad days. Honestly its a mindset. If you can change your mind, you can change your body. Changing the way you think is more than half the battle. You have to want it badly enough to endure the pain of change. Which there will be pain. And you have to be willing at any given moment… to give up temporary sastisfation for long term success. I made up my mind✔ Changed my mindset on how I viewed food and ultimately how I viewed myself✔and stopped making excuses✔if I can do it…. I truly believe anyone can. I know the pain of this battle and I hate to see others stuck in the struggle. Posting these pictures is still super vulnerable for me… But if it helps anyone who’s in the process… Then I consider it to be worth it. From April 23rd to July 9th!

Can’t believe I’m 28 pounds down! 

Actually I kinda can because I’ve been killing it!!!

NO soda! Which was my HUGEST hurdle and at first I thought I wasn’t going to make it with all the caffeine withdrawal headaches but I can honestly say I have zero cravings!

My biggest hurdle now is getting adequate sleep. I thrive at night and my brain doesn’t want to shut off.
